Introduction to Software Testing

An introduction to the role of software testing, with an immediately applicable foundation in all the core topics of methodical software testing across all industries. And the ideal preparation for obtaining a certificate that is recognised across the world.

This comprehensive course covers all the fundamental aspects of software testing and its benefits in both traditional and agile project environments.

After attending our training course, participants will be familiar with the basic concepts of testing, different testing approaches and their strengths and weaknesses. They will be able to identify and implement the activities appropriate to their needs and to assess the quality of the resulting documents and the efficiency of testing. They will know how to improve testing and to adapt the testing process to the surrounding software development life cycle. They will understand the principles of test management. They will understand both the impact of risks on testing and the factors that influence test prioritisation and effort.

They will see their role as part of a cross-functional team, identify the skills required for testing and they will have practised techniques such as writing clear and effective reports on defects, test progress and quality.

They will also have considered the risks and benefits of test automation.

This seminar covers the contents of the official ISTQB® syllabus and is accredited by the German Testing Board. It provides you with the ideal preparation for taking the exam to obtain the "ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level" certificate.
